Can you believe that this week is the last week of FitEx 2018? This upcoming Sunday, May 27th, is the last official day of the program! You should take a moment to congratulate yourself on everything that you have accomplished over the last seven weeks. Make sure to also take a moment to think about what you want to accomplish during this final week, and what goals you may want to set for yourself after the program is over.
In this week’s newsletter we talk about community. Have you realized over the past seven weeks how nice it is to have the support of your own little community in the form of your teammates and family? Having a community of people to support you and hold you accountable for your goals is so important to being successful when it comes to work, physical activity, and any other endeavor you embark on. In this week’s newsletter we will list several different ways to get involved in your community, but if you can other ideas let us know. We might share them with everyone in next week’s blog post.
Even though this week is the last official week for FitEx, we are still going to send out a newsletter and have a blog post next week to wrap things up. Please let us know if you have any really good tips, recipes, or healthy lifestyle ideas that you would like to share with the entire group! Either comment below or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will share them in next week’s post.
Another topic that we tackle in this week’s newsletter are the top 12 ways to add more fruit and vegetables into our diet so we can met the goal of eating 5 cups a day of both fruits and vegetables. We have shared six of the ways in this week’s newsletter and we will share another six in next week’s newsletter. The recipes that we shared over the past seven weeks have included a lot of fruits and vegetables that you can try to include in your weekly dinner schedule to increase the amount of fruit and vegetables that you eat. You can also check out our Pinterest page for some ideas. Another idea is to just leave fresh fruit or vegetables out on the counter. If they are tucked away in the fridge, you may not think to grab one when you want a snack. However, if they are out on the counter they will be one of the first things you see when you walk into the kitchen looking for a snack. Are there any tricks that have worked for you? Please let us know!
Have you scheduled a team party yet? You guys deserve to celebrate everything that you have accomplished on your own and as a team over the course of FitEx 2018. Maybe you guys go to a local park and have team potluck or cookout and share some of your favorite recipes that you discovered. You could also go on a group hike or even go to the pool for an afternoon of fun.
On a side note, we are going to be sending out a survey soon about FitEx and your experience with the program. If you could take a few minutes and fill it out, we would greatly appreciate it! Keep on moving everyone and good luck this week!
